Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD) occurs when the brain has difficulty organizing and responding to sensory information from the environment. Children with SPD may be over-sensitive (hypersensitive) or under-sensitive (hyposensitive) to touch, sound, light, smell, or movement.

We offer scissors-only cuts. We also offer practice visits to slowly desensitize your child to salon tools before the actual haircut. We celebrate every bit of progress.
Can I bring my child's OT's suggestions?
Absolutely — we welcome it. Positioning, tactile input preferences, deep pressure, environmental changes — share everything with us when booking. We work with OT strategies.
What if my child needs to stop mid-haircut?
We stop immediately, no charge, no judgment. Building a positive association with the salon is more important than finishing any single haircut. We'll try again next time.
